Sarina Wiegman started playing football at the early age of 6 and joined ESDO from Wassenaar where she played alongside the boys.

Sarina Wiegman then joined KFC’71 in 1987 and luckily won the KNCB Cup while playing in the 1988 FIFA Women’s Invitational and she met the head coach of the US Women’s Soccer Team, who invited her to study at the University of North Carolina.
