He was a popular American singer, songwriter and pianist. He was one of the most influential pianists of the 20th century in America. He was a member of the inaugural class that was inducted into the Memphis Music Hall of Fame. He made his first recordings in 1956 at Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee. His album Last Man Standing was his best-selling release with over a million copies worldwide, released in 2006.
Jerry Lee has a dozen gold records in rock and country. He has won four Grammy Awards, including two Grammy Hall of Fame Awards and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
